In September 1995, Louis Clark deliberately and repeatedly shot into a car, killing Morris Howell and his three-year-old daughter Morrisa. At trial, the court ruled that defense counsel could not use the specifics of the case, namely the age of the young victim, in voir dire of prospective jurors. Clark was convicted of two counts of first degree murder. On the jurys recommendation, the circuit Judge imposed two death sentences.
